Cd's are $12 each and can be purchased in the LHS band office or by contacting Mr. Gekoskie via email. Checks should be made payable to the LHS Band Boosters.

Arturo Rodriguez to compose a cello concerto with wind symphony

Plans are underway to premiere a cello concerto, composed by Arturo Rodriguez, in memory of William Kellerman.  We have just secured our soloist - Ani Aznavoorian!!!  See Ani in concert on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtbajOL4-Sc . Also visit Ani's website at : http://aniaznavoorian.com/.  This is a VERY exciting development for our tour to Austria and Prague. We welcome Ani to our Langley Band family!

2009 January /February Concert Workshops

2009 January/February Concert Workshops dates are now posted in the Calendar. Please plan ahead to clear the specified dates. The concert workshops are MANDATORY.  Make sure your calendar is cleared!

Scheduled clinicians include:
Mr. Craig Kirchhoff - Univ. of Minnesota - Wind Symphony
Dr. Eric Hinton - Susquehanna Univ. - Symphony Band
Mr. Allan McMurray - Univ. of Colorado/Boulder - Wind Ensemble

This week's raffle tickets are due Friday, Oct 31, for the Skins/Steelers Monday Night Football Game.  Sell, sell, sell!!

 
2009/2010 Langley Bands Placement Auditions
Placement Auditions (Jan. 09) for 08/09 school year for current 8th graders, all current LHS percussionists, private school students who will be coming to Langley HS, and any new students who will be coming to Langley next year - grades 9-12 will be announced soon. Please email Mr. Gekoskie with any questions you may have!
